With a mission in her heart to see her community thrive, Dafina pursued her dream, which was 20 years in the making, to start an investment club. Reaching out to her close-knit circle of friends from her various social circles – sorority, business school, day-one friends, family, and career colleagues – she launched her first investment club in 2011. Over cake and cognac, the group decided to bring together their individual brilliance and strengthen their bonds and build wealth through investing.
Dafina’s interest in investing was sparked at the age of 14. She researched Dividend reinvestment plans (D.R.I.P.S) and investment clubs and with a $150 loan from her mother invested in her first stock. Although the company subsequently went bankrupt, it’s assets were purchased by Amazon. From this loss, Dafina realized that he had the potential to win and learning business cycles was the key.
Her life has been propelled by her passion for health & fitness, proficiency in technology and desire to build wealth.
